James Collins will find out later today how long he is expected to be sidelined for after pulling up during Saturday's goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion.

The Welsh international was substituted midway through the second period of the match after damaging ankle ligaments, which he'd been struggling with since the first half.

News of the injury was revealed by Slaven Bilic after the game. "He [Collins] has damaged the ankle ligaments," he confirmed. "We will assess him and see how long he will be out."

Saturday's game was Collins' fourth appearance of the season, following starts against Cheltenham Town (Carabao Cup), Newcastle Utd and Huddersfield Town (Premier League).
