Huddersfield boss David Wagner says his team will have to raise their performance levels by some considerable margin if they are to best West Ham this weekend.

West Ham secured their first victory of the season when the two clubs met at the Olympic Stadium last September, bagging a 2-0 win thanks to late goals from Pedro Obiang and Andre Ayew.

And Wagner says that his side - who are two points above West Ham in their first season in the Premier League - will have to perform much better on this occasion in order to stop what he referred to as an "in-form" Hammers side.

"The West Ham away game was one of the performances, with Swansea maybe, where I think we really underperformed," he told reporters.

"I was not happy with what we showed there. That’s something that we would all like to correct because we are better than what we showed. This is what we'd like to show on Saturday in front of our home crowd.

" West Ham is a very big name, with a great squad with very good individuals and a very good manager as well. They are in good form at the minute so there are a lot of reasons why we have to be better than what we were in the first game."
