BURNLEY will play live on TV for the 47th time under Sean Dyche when they travel to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday.

So far the Clarets have a winning record when playing in front of the cameras under Dyche, recording 16 wins, 15 draws and 15 defeats, and they will be looking to preserve that success rate on Merseyside.

It took Dyche a while to get his side winning when on the box though, with his first six games on telly resulting in a defeat at home to Hull City followed by five successive draws.

But Burnley broke their little screen hoodoo on the day they ended their wait for an East Lancashire derby win, defeating Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park in March 2014 on their way to Premier League promotion.

In the past five years games against Rovers have been the most televised games involving the Clarets, with Sky Sports airing it four times, while Burnley games against Arsenal have been live on television on three occasions.

Burnley were unbeaten in 14 live TV games during the 2015/16 Championship season when they claimed the second tier title, but they found life tougher last season in front of the cameras, winning twice, drawing once but losing nine times, including their cup defeats to Accrington Stanley and Lincoln City.

They have been live just once so far this season, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 on Sky Sports earlier this month.

Burnley have faced Everton live on TV once in the past five seasons, losing 3-1 at Turf Moor early in the 2014/15 season.

In the 46 televised games under Dyche so far Burnley have scored 51 goals and conceded 54.

The research was put together by MoneySuperMarket, which revealed Manchester United were live on TV 54 times last season, a new record, and the Red Devils have been televised 214 times over the past five seasons.

Dan Plant, editor-in-chief at MoneySuperMarket, said: "We’ve analysed the games, the goals and ratio of big games across all broadcasters and found that Sky are still airing more games per Premier League team despite BT gaining exclusive rights to European competitions in 2015/2016.

"Year-on-year, BT are closing the gap in regard to number of live games but the data shows that regardless of who you support, Sky are likelier to televise more of your team’s matches. Though, fans of Stoke City may prefer to switch off altogether given their team is averaging less than a goal a game when on the box."
