Last season head-to-head: The young Reds lost their last away game againt Middlesbrough, Rhian Brewster netting in a 2-1 defeat.

However, they exacted revenge in December's return fixture, with Brewster scoring twice in a 2-1 victory.

Classic encounter: August 22, 2015. Middlesbrough were reigning U18s Premier League champions and showed their quality by running up a 3-0 lead at Kirkby. However, Toni Gomes had other ideas and netted a fantastic hat-trick to level the scores.

Yan Dhanda then grabbed a superb late winner as the young Reds recorded a memorable 4-3 victory. Watch highlights of that game below.
