Arsenal made it two wins from two games in the Europa League as they saw off BATE Borisov in Bulgaria.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring on Thursday night as he took advantage of being named in a much-changed Gunners side.

The forward doubled the visitors' advantage midway through the first-half and minutes later, Rob Holding added a third.

Borisov did pull a goal back before the break through Mirko Ivanic but Olivier Giroud fired home from the penalty spot for his 100th goal of his Arsenal career four minutes after the interval.

The home side refused to give in however and Mikhail Gordeychuk reduced their arrears again midway through the second period.

Arsenal came under pressure but the Premier League side held on for victory.
