The race for James Rodriguez is hotting up with six European giants reportedly chasing his signature.

Paris Saint-Germain appear to be in pole position to land the Real Madrid star, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

But Juventus, Inter Milan, Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring his situation, according to Marca.

The Colombian, who turns 26 next month, joined the Champions League holders for £71million in July 2014.

He looks certain to leave during the summer transfer window and big-spending PSG are determined to add him to Unai Emery's star-studded squad.

Rodriguez tasted life in France's Ligue 1 prior to switching to La Liga, during a year-long spell with Monaco.

And a move to the French capital could be a perfect fit as he bids to erase the memory of being left out of Zinedine Zidane's match-day squad for the 4-1 win over Juventus earlier this month.

However, a reunion with Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti cannot be ruled out.

Rodriguez netted 17 goals under Ancelotti's guidance during his first season in Madrid.
