Laurent Depoitre scored on his Premier League debut as Huddersfield and Leicester fought out a 1-1 draw at the John Smith's Stadium.

Depoitre, a £3.5million summer signing from Porto, broke the deadlock 40 seconds into the second half before Jamie Vardy fired the Foxes level four minutes later from the penalty spot.

Huddersfield will feel mightily aggrieved Elias Kachunga's second-half header was ruled out for offside, or else they might have bounced back from their first defeat of the season at West Ham last Monday with all three points.

Here is how all the action unfolded with our minute-by-minute blog....

Early team news

Huddersfield midfielder Kasey Palmer will play no part against Leicester after being ruled out for several months due to a recurrence of a hamstring injury.

But fellow midfielder Jonathan Hogg and defender Martin Cranie could be included in the squad. Both are closing in on their first appearances of the season following respective ankle and hip injuries.

Striker Collin Quaner hopes to recover from the knee injury which forced him to miss Monday night’s defeat at West Ham.

Matty James and Christian Fuchs are injury doubts for Leicester, meanwhile.

Midfielder James has not trained this week after suffering an Achilles problem against Chelsea while full-back Fuchs is nursing an eye injury following a freak accident in training which saw a pole flick him in the face.

Vicente Iborra (groin) is fit again and available for the first time this season while fellow summer signing Kelechi Iheanacho could make his full debut. Robert Huth (ankle) is also nearing full fitness and might be in the squad.
