Arsenal were held at West Ham as David Moyes' men delivered another impressive display.

The Hammers beat Chelsea on Saturday and put in a resolute performance to keep out Arsene Wenger's side.

Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere all went close for the Gunners while Marko Arnautovic had a goal ruled out.

Javier Hernandez hits the bar late on but the point boosts West Ham's survival chances but dents Arsenal's hopes of making the top four.

Here are five talking points.

1. Wilshere in - but where is Walcott?

Jack Wilshere made his Arsenal start in 577 days at the London Stadium, much to the delight of Gunners fans.

The England midfielder has worked his way back into the fold with some impressive displays in the Europa League.

Olivier Giroud also came in from the start but there was no sign of Theo Walcott.

He isn't thought to be injured and missed out on a place in the squad here, on a night when Wenger rotated.

Surely he will be on the move in January.

2. Stick to what you know

Few can blame David Moyes for naming an unchanged side following the win over Chelsea.

West Ham were excellent against the champions and despite some tired legs, he put out the same side again.

The Hammers need to stick to a shape and the same personnel where possible and that is certainly something Moyes is trying to do.

Will the back three help push them to safety?

3. Arnautovic back in form

Eyebrows were raised when West Ham broke their transfer record to sign Marko Arnautovic in the summer.

For his obvious ability, there were doubts over his temperament and they have been proved correct in the first few months of the season.

He was back at it against Chelsea, scoring the only goal, and continued in a similar vein here.

Arnautovic thought he had headed West Ham ahead too - only to be denied by the offside flag.

If Moyes' men climb out of trouble, the Austrian will be instrumental.

4. Giroud misses chance to shine

Olivier Giroud has been pushing for a start and got his opportunity here following his winner at Southampton.

But this was a disappointing night for the Arsenal striker.

Giroud didn't see much of the ball during the first-half and clattered into Aaron Cresswell as he tried an acrobatic effort.

It looks as though he could well be on his way in January with West Ham one of a number of clubs interested.

5. Monreal takes centre stage

Despite Arsene Wenger ringing the changes, he kept faith with Nacho Monreal at centre-half.

And the Spaniard, who has had a decent season didn't disappoint.

With Shkodran Mustafi out, Monreal has formed a decent partnership with Laurent Koscielny in his new role.

Meanwhile, Ainsley Maitland-Niles was given a rare chance to impress at left-back.
