Manchester United kick off the Premier League weekend against Tottenham in what could be a battle of title contenders.

At Leicester, new boss Claude Puel will get his first chance in the Foxes dugout against Everton, who don't have a manager yet.

Lowly Crystal Palace could condemn Slaven Bilic to the growing list of managers on the sacked list this season when they host West Ham.

There are contrasting styles as Manchester City got to West Brom and those who are easy on the eye going head-to-head in Arsenal vs Swansea.

It's all shaping up for another cracker of the weekend in the best competition in the world.

Here are 10 key talking points.

1. A potential title showdown

Manchester United and Tottenham lock horns at Old Trafford in Saturday's early kick-off in the battle of second vs third.

Jose Mourinho's side are behind only Manchester City on the Premier League table after nine matches but ahead of Spurs only on goal difference.

There are some big questions to be answered. Can the Red Devil's fight back after their Huddersfield humiliation? How will Spurs deal with the huge absence of Harry Kane, ruled out of this blockbuster with a minor hamstring injury?

United come off the back of a comfortable 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Swansea, while Spurs will need to bounce back after a tough battle with London rivals West Ham - albeit with a hugely changed line-up.

With the first teams on the pitch, both side are in a rich vein of form, and that will surely mean Saturday lunchtime has never been so tasty.

2. The Dortmund reunion

David Wagner and Jurgen Klopp will enjoy their reunion at Anfield when Liverpool host Huddersfield.

Klopp’s former right hand man at Borussia Dortmund days is coming up against him as an equal, hoping to swipe a result from Merseyside.

Momentum is certainly with the Terriers after their impressive victory over Man United last weekend.

3. The battle of the long ball

Stoke's visit to Watford's Vicarage Road will see a side renowned for their direct style going up against the most physical strikeforce in the Premier League in Stefano Okaka, Richarlison and Troy Deeney.

Both defences are well known for their athleticism, too, with the Hornets boasting powerhouses in Christian Kabasele, Sebastian Prodl, Jose Holebas and Adrian Mariappa, while Stoke have the lion heart skipper Ryan Shawcross, alongside Bruno Martins Indi and Erik Pieters among others.

4. The south-coast clash

Brighton host Southampton with both sides keen on a win to tip the balance of their inconsistent starts to the season.

The Seagulls are on a high after smashing West Ham, while Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino needs a kick after a stuttering start to the campaign.

Both sides have found goals hard to come by this term, with only 17 shared between them so far - the Saints with eight and Brighton with nine.

They'll see this a chance to turn that around and claim south coast bragging rights.

5. Clash of the unlikely minnows

Just last season Leicester were the defending Premier League champions and after a prolific summer of signings Everton were installed as underdogs in the race for the top four.

Now we have Leicester lagging in 14th on the table and beginning life under new boss Claude Puel after Craig Shakespeare was sacked.

Everton are still waiting for their new boss to replace Ronald Koeman, with David Unsworth hoping he can stake his claim to a chance at the top job in his caretaker role.

Frenchman Puel will be hoping for better showings with his new Foxes than he produced with a lacklustre Southampton last year while Unsworth, known primarily for his work in the academy and an old Evertonian, will try to rally his troops.

6. Pass masters

Arsenal and Swansea, famed for their attractive short passing games, go head-to-head at the Emirates as Arsene Wenger looks to build upon a brilliant display against Everton last weekend.

Paul Clement is seeking to make amends for the home defeat by Leicester last time out - a match they would have given themselves a big chance of winning.

Impressively, the Swans have come away victorious from north London four times out of nine top flight attempts, and Clement will be hoping to increase that statistic to 50 per cent with a win.

7. Relegation six pointer with a job on the line

Crystal Palace and West Ham is a big one at Selhurst Park.

Roy Hodgson's revolution is in full swing but yet to yield much in the way of a rescue mission after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Newcastle last time out.

For the Hammers, despite their impressive comeback against Spurs midweek, Slaven Bilic is fighting for his job here.

A loss to the rock bottom side in the league could well be the final straw for the boss.

8. Southern banana skin

Bournemouth go up against Chelsea, who’ve been struggling of late, lying in a disheartening fourth place.

Antonio Conte's Blues have been underwhelming this campaign, considering they are defending the title and the qualities they have in abundance.

Eddie Howe’s young side will be going all out to make sure Chelsea’s inconsistencies continue.

The Cherries are winless in three against the Blues, but Eddie Howe will be confident after a delightful smash and grab display at Stoke last week.

If they can defend soundly and counter with pace and power, Chelsea will be fleeing back to London before they know it.

9. Clash of the polar opposites

Manchester City travel south to West Brom, where Tony Pulis will try to tactically outwit Pep Guardiola.

It's a somewhat impossible task, perhaps, given the Baggies are winless in 15 league attempts against the sky blues spanning back to November 2010.

The physical and direct-play merchant sat in the West Brom dugout will use all his experience and preferred tactics to disrupt the less physical City side and play to their own strengths.

Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones may have their hands full when they meet big Venezuelan target man Salomon Rondon, but the entire West Brom line-up will have to deal with the most vibrant attack in the Premier League.

10. The midfield face-off

The game at the King Power will be focussed on the engine rooms of the two sides.

Leicester are known for churning out ball-winning midfielders like N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Daniel Amartey, Wilfried Ndidi and Nampalys Mendy, but Everton have a man with a higher tackling rate than Kante Senegalese general Idrissa Gueye.

Gueye is known for his patrol of the midfield and ability for carving up attacks.

But the Foxes' new Kante, Ndidi, leads the way this season with 39 tackles ahead of Gueye who only slips into the top five with 28.
