Manchester United's 2-0 victory over Arsenal in 2004 encompassed everything that was brilliant about the clubs' bitter rivalry.

Big stars coming head-to-head, controversial decisions, goals, penalties and a pinch of drama - the games were classics.

This particular match also contained a food fight. Following the game, a slice of pizza caught Sir Alex Ferguson square in the chops ruining his nice suit.

After 13 years of mystery, Cesc Fabregas has finally came forward and admitted to being the culprit.

In honour of the Spaniard's honesty, Mirror Football takes another look at the Battle of the Buffet and picks out five reasons it was on of the most seismic, dramatic clashes in Premier League history.

Arsenal's unbeaten run was only ever going to end with fire. The Gunners continued the form from their Invincibles season by staying unbeaten well into October.

But instead of rounding their tally up to 50, United came in and crushed their dreams.

Needless to say it led to an unforgettable full-time altercation between the two sides.

2. Wayne Rooney's dive

Nearly two months on from signing for United and Rooney continued to make headlines.

On his 19th birthday the England striker earned a penalty after going down very easily from a Sol Campbell challenge. On second look, it was a definite dive.

As well as winning a penalty, Rooney also slotted home from six yards to seal the victory.

3. Ruud's redemption

After missing a penalty against Arsenal a year previously, and receiving a ton of abuse from Martin Keown, Lauren, Ray Parlour and Patrick Vieira, the Dutch forward got his revenge.

As his screaming goal celebration proved, it was somewhat poetic that the striker slotted home from the spot.

Jose Antonio Reyes was on fire coming into this game. The Spaniard had scored six goals in 10 league games with Arsenal fans beginning to dream he could be the next Thierry Henry.

But after a game in which the forward got brutally kicked off the park, Reyes went on to look more like the next Francis Jeffers.

Both Gary and Phil Neville gave him some serious bruising with a series of nasty challenges.

Reyes could only muster three goals in the remaining 20 league games he played that season.
