Everyone in the UK turned into a child on Sunday when snow - yes SNOW - fell from the sky and covered the land in a blanket of white.

Trains ground to a halt and matches were called off as a result, but most people had fun building snowmen and chucking hard lumps of ice at each other, as is the tradition.

On Tuesday the Arsenal team took to their London Colney training ground ahead of their Premier League clash with West Ham, but were a little distracted.

Here's seven things we noticed from the session as the Gunners stars made the most of what's left of the winter 'snowbomb' that exploded over Britain.

Jack Wilshere LOVES a snowball fight. Any time, any place

If there is one person who can be happy following the Gunners' 1-1 draw with Southampton last time out it's probably Wilshere.

The Arsenal midfielder has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence of late and is once again in contention to start Premier League fixtures for his beloved club.

Wilshere came on late at St. Mary's and had little time in which to influence the game. But he did get a chance to influence things on the training ground this Tuesday, as you can see.

Olivier Giroud definitely didn't deserve this after his weekend heroics

For some reason, we're not quite sure, Wilshere decided to target Giroud - the only other person who can be happy following the Southampton game.

The France international came off the bench to rescue a point for the Gunners with a header in the 88th minute of the match.

But Wilshere apparently didn't take this into account when he launched a snowball at the side of his head. Well, he was the closest person to the Englishman...

Giroud didn't take too kindly to the photographer capturing his misfortune

He was on target against Southampton, and it seems he was also on target at London Colney, although not in the way Arsene Wenger would have liked.

After the photographer captured Wilshere throwing a snowball at him, and covering him in white powder, he turned on the man with the camera.

And without warning launched a pretty solid ball at the snapper, as the above picture captures perfectly.

We have absolutely no idea why this man is so happy with himself!

He's not been pulling his weight recently, as the stats in this piece here show, and was far from his best in Arsenal's draw with Southampton last time out.

So why was he so full of beans on the training ground on Tuesday? We can only think it's because he avoided being hit with a snowball...

Or maybe it's because the winter transfer window is just around the corner and he won't be an Arsenal player for much longer... nope, it's definitely the snowball thing.

That's one way to steal Alexis Sanchez's thunder... we suppose?

Chuba Akpom and Calum Chambers were delighted with themselves after apparently knocking Sanchez to the ground in training.

Well, we can't be sure that they actually did do this, but you can't deny that they're absolutely delighted with themselves.

And you can't deny that the Chilean forward is on the ground. So what other explanation is there? Exactly, told you.

Which one was it, Alexis? It was those two boss, Chambers and Akpom

You definitely didn't need more proof to back up the above statement, but here it is anyway.

Sanchez was apparently quick to grass the duo up after their snowball fight got a little out of hand on this frosty Tuesday.

And, as you can see, Wenger was only too happy to help the Chilean.

If there was one picture that summed up the training session, this would be it

With snow on the ground and fun to be had, who wants to play football?

This ball cut a rather lonely figure at London Colney after everyone apparently forgot about it's existence.

We joke of course. Arsenal DID train hard this Tuesday like they do every week... honest!
