Manchester United fans aren't best pleased with Jose Mourinho for the way he lined his team up against Liverpool on Saturday.

The Red Devils have been in sensational form and had blown away six of their last seven opposition in the Premier League ahead of this weekend's game.

Last time out they battered Crystal Palace 4-0 at Old Trafford, while the Reds drew 1-1 with Rafa Benitez's Newcastle at St James' Park.

United supporters were expecting them to turn up to Anfield full of confidence and blow Liverpool away - or at least attempt to - with their attacking play.

But instead Mourinho set his team up to ensure they didn't concede, which is certainly a sensible thing to do given the fire-power Liverpool have up front.

It's just not the way legendary boss Sir Alex Fergsuon would have approached the game, and it seems this is still something United fans are getting used to.

To be fair to Mourinho, he was without the injured duo of Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini, and had to settle for a more defensive pairing of Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera.

But that hasn't stopped Red Devils supporters complaining, and even Rio Ferdinand pointing out that Mourinho set up in a negative way.
