Alexis Sanchez appeared to snub shaking Arsene Wenger's hand on the Arsenal training ground ahead of their Europa League clash with Red Star Belgrade on Thursday.
Cameras at London Colney captured the Chilean walking towards his boss alongside his Gunners teammates as Wenger greeted his players.
The Arsenal boss has a tradition of shaking the hand of every player ahead of a training session, and set about doing so on Wednesday.
Sanchez, however, appeared to walk towards the Frenchman with his head down before heading off to the left to avoid interaction.
Arsene Wenger attempted to clear up the issue in his press conference ahead of Thursday's game.
He told reporters that he didn't shake Sanchez's hand because the Chilean was one of the first players he spoke to in the medical centre before they took the pitch.
Arsenal fans had been worried that it was evidence of the strained relationship between the pair, amid the Gunners' current woes.
Sanchez had his heart set on a move away from the north London club in the summer, with Manchester City making a large bid for him.
Arsenal were unable to secure Thomas Lemar as a replacement however, meaning they forced Sanchez to stay at the club against his will.
The 28-year-old had made it clear at the start of the summer that he wanted to play in the Champions League this season.
But he will instead represent the Gunners in the Europa League this week.
The Gunners have won their first two games in Group H and currently occupy the top spot. They face second-placed Red Star Belgrade in Serbia on Thursday.
