Arsenal fans are delighted the club have secured a sensational player in £52million signing Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.

The 26-year-old France international, who put pen to paper on a five-year deal, should bolster their attack significantly in the coming season.

However there is still the 'elephant in the room' at Arsenal - the one player whose future has yet to be confirmed one way or the other.

That man is of course Alexis Sanchez, and the big question is; will he stay or will he go?

MirrorFootball reporters have had their say on the Chilean, answering whether his potential move to Manchester City could prematurely end the Gunners' title challenge.

But there is still no confirmation on whether the 28-year-old will put pen to paper on a new deal at the Emitrates, or if he'll be on his way in the transfer window.

Arsenal - and Arsene Wenger - have stayed tight-lipped over the situation, but the club filled the fans with hope with a tweet on Monday.

Uploading to the club's official Twitter page, the Gunners posted a video of the Chilean doing what he does best - scoring goals in an Arsenal shirt (which you can watch here).

And it's safe to say the clip got the desired effect, with many fans interpreting the post as the club confirming Sanchez is set to stay.

Despite this however, there were more than a few concerned supporters demanding the club get the deal over the line, as you can see below:
