Alexis Sanchez wore a toothy grin on his face as Arsenal trained at London Colney ahead of their trip to West Ham.

The Gunners travel to Upton Park on Saturday looking to close the gap between themselves and Leicester to eight points for at least a day.

Arsenal's title hopes have faded rapidly in the last two months following a string of poor results.

But after last weekend's 4-0 home win over Watford, Arsene Wenger claimed his side's title hopes were still alive.

"We want to keep our quality very high," Wenger said. "We will fight until the end to give ourselves the best chance [of the title].

"The title is never there for the taking, you have to work for it. Everyone is working very hard for it. It's never easy."

Jack Wilshere didn't train with the first-team as he is with the under-21s preparing for tonight's clash with Newcastle.

The midfielder hasn't played all season after breaking his leg on the eve of the Community Shield clash with Chelsea in August.
