London is red and white after Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey led Arsenal to conquering their 13th FA Cup after beating Premier League champions Chelsea.

Four minutes in and Sanchez scored the opener amongst protests of a potential offside position which was later denied.

Chelsea had to play without Victor Moses for the majority of the second half as the Nigeria winger was sent off after picking up a second booking for diving

Diego Costa got Chelsea's hopes up again. But the joy barely lasted five minutes as Aaron Ramsey's header won it for the Gunners.

This win makes Arsene Wenger the most successful manager in the FA Cup - surely strengthening the Frenchman's hopes of staying on as Arsenal's manager next season.

Forgetful Chelsea

Moments before the start, Arsenal and Chelsea pay a moving tribute to the victims of last week's terrorist attack by honouring a minute of silence.

Chelsea players, however, were at the centre of criticism on Twitter as they forgot to wear their black armbands until for the whole first half.

They wore them in the second half, however, after admitting it was a mistake.

But we barely have time to think about it that the unexpected happens...

4 mins : Arsenal have been possessing the ball for the initial stages, but no one would have guessed that they would scored so early (or scored at all). And the goal already is at the centre of controversies.

Alexis Sanchez has the ball at the edge of Courtois' box and seems to be serving Ramsey, who can't touch it because he's clearly off-side. But Sanchez isn't and breaks the deadlock.

After first rising the flag, referee and linesman discuss and then decide the goal is given.

Whether it was offside or not, Sanchez's right foot is a real pearl.

Ten minutes of calm after the storm and then...

13 to 15 mins : Chaos.

First there is a Sanchez chance but his shoot goes way over the bar.

Then Chelsea try to make it up for the goal and approach Arsenal's box but without any substantial result.

18 mins : Arsenal miss another chance for Arsenal as Gunners dominate over Chelsea both physically and technically. Welbeck jumps for a header from a corner onto the back post and Ozil doesn't manage to target his follow-up header to the net.

Chelsea, are you there?

28 mins : here we have the first real opportunity for Chelsea as Diego Costa stands alone in front of the goal alone but Ospina defends brilliantlty. After just another corner for Arsenal, Chelsea retry but keep failing.

30 mins : Chelsea are forced to clear the ball off the line as Welbeck makes way in the box. Courtois blocks his ball and Cahill directs it away. Blues can take a breath.

31 mins: there's a dangerous free-kick Arsenal. Sanchez crosses in the middle of the box but a Chelsea defender pushes it away. Shaka takes the occasion to shoot a beautiful volley that Courtois manages to stop.

36 mins : Chelsea's defence is disastrous. Sanchez receives the ball from the half of the pitch and is free to move without interference. Courtois saves but Blues keep risking.

38 mins : Pedro misses probably the Blues' most important chance to score as, standing alone in front of the goalkeeper, he fails to direct the ball to the goal and rather shoots over the bar.

45+1 mins : Marcos Alonso tries to take solve the situation with a free-kick, but the ball ends over the bar.

Second half starts with Gunners losing focus

49 mins : Chelsea play the first minutes as they should have for the whole game. They attack, posses and control the ball for all the time and have two occasions.

N'Golo Kante tries shoots from outside the box but the kick is an easy grab for Arsenal keeper Ospina.

One minute later Victor Moses misses a great chance coming alone from the right but sending the ball in Ospina's hands.

55 mins : both teams are clearly tired and keep making mistakes. Last but not least is a chance for Arsenal's Bellerin who, alone in front of Courtois, kicks poorly.

58 mins : a beautiful attempt by Pedro almost gives Blues the tie. On the edge of the box, he misses the goal despite a great kick.

64 mins: Bellerin makes another mistake and doesn't give Arsenal the chance to double the score. Seconds later Hazard gets close to scoring in a similar occasion.

67 mins : ...and they remained 10. Moses enters the box and pretends to be touched but referee Anthony Taylor is close enough to see that there is no contact. And Moses, who was already booked, puts an end to a disappointing match.

71 mins : Chelsea are in a total and chaotic crisis and can't seem to be able to think. Sanchez and Oxelade-Chamberlain both try to score but the Blues are lucky enough and the score remains the same.

Two goals in three minutes

76 mins : Chelsea make the miracle and score a goal thanks to an otherwise very disappointing Diego Costa. Antonio Conte gets to take a deep breath as the striker surprises Ospina.

79 mins : Blues don't even have time time to celebrate! A beautiful cross from the left by Giroud finds Ramsey alone in the box, and, this time, the defender doesn't miss his chance and heads the ball in the net.

Oh Chelsea...

86 mins : Costa shoots from the middle of the box but Ospina saves promptly. Seconds later Arsenal fail to end the match with Ozil hitting the post.

94 mins: four extra minutes cannot help Blues win the double. Arsenal win their 13th FA Cup! They can proudly say that this was one of the Gunners' best performances of the season.

Alexis Sanchez has truly led this team to victory, but everyone has actually contributed.

There's big disappointment on Conte's face as his Blues quickly passed from being the favourites to being humiliated.

Does this mean that Wenger will remain?
