Antonio Conte has cooled speculation that David Luiz has agreed a move to Real Madrid after falling out of favour at Chelsea.

The Blues boss dropped the Brazilian centre-back ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Manchester United in early November.

Andreas Christensen took Luiz's place on the day as Chelsea ran out 1-0 winners at Stamford Bridge, thanks to a goal from Alvaro Morata.

Luiz has since featured for the Blues in their 4-0 win over Qarabag in the Champions League, but has not played in the Premier League since the 1-0 win over Bournemouth in October.

Speculation has started to grow that the Brazilian will leave Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid, but when asked whether Luiz has agreed a deal with the La Liga giants, Conte replied: "This week? No.

"I must be honest I don't read this because I don't have time to read, we are playing every three days so my focus is on the pitch, our preparation and my team.

"These are speculations but we pass from my sacking to the Real Madrid [rumours].

"We are very fast to pass these two different situations. My focus is only on Chelsea, I'm totally committed for this club and for my players."

Luiz has been suffering with an injury recently, which saw him left out the squad for Chelsea's 1-0 win over Swansea last time out.

Providing a fitness update, Conte added: "He's having treatment in his knee.

"It's not simple to understand how much longer [he will have this] injury but at the same time I think the doctors are doing the best to try and allow him to recover very soon."
