Saturday was a good day for Arsenal . It's always a good day for them when they beat Tottenham, of course.
The Gunners saw off Spurs 2-0 in the north London derby thanks to first half strikes from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium, as Arsene Wenger's side moved to just one point behind Mauricio Pochettino's men.
It was a sweet victory for a team still damaged by finishing below Spurs and missing out on the Champions League last season, and the win had already been secured long before the match ticked into injury time.
And then once it was there, something odd happened.
Because after Sanchez raced through on goal only to see his effort blocked by Hugo Lloris late on, he decided to turn chasing after the rebound into a full length dive across the sodden Emirates Stadium turf.
The dive was reminiscent of the one Spurs legend Jurgen Klinsmann used to perform after he'd scored - most memorably against Sheffield Wednesday on his Premier League debut back in 1994.
And on Twitter, fans were quick to spot the similarities.
And Arsenal star copying a Spurs legend at the end of a victorious north London derby?!
Whatever next?
