Alexis Sanchez has arrived back in London ahead of his return to Arsenal training.
The wantaway winger did not report for first-team training on Sunday, his scheduled return date, after picking up an illness.
But he has shared images after landing back in England alongside his beloved pet dogs.
Sanchez, who was earlier pictured with a man claiming to be his lawyer, remains a transfer target for Manchester City this summer.
And on the back of the transfer speculation, it was suggested that Sanchez's flu was a ploy to stay away from training.
Arsenal sent doctors to the Chilean to confirm that he was suffering from illness.
Manager Arsene Wenger fully expects Sanchez to return to training once he has fully recovered with the Gunners boss adamant that his star player will not be leaving the Emirates this summer.
“He has flu," Wenger said on Saturday. “I had him on text [on Friday], he will come back as soon as possible.
"We were in touch with him and his doctor. No basic problem except he should come back tomorrow [Sunday] but now he comes back Tuesday.”
Sanchez is entering the last year of his deal at Arsenal but it appears that the Gunners would prefer him to see out the final 12 months rather than leave.
Manchester City lead the chase for him but Chelsea also have a long-standing interest.
Wenger doesn’t want to strengthen a title rival again after selling Robin van Persie to Manchester United and the likes of Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Adebayor to City in recent years.
