It's been a difficult few days for Arsenal fans.

While their Premier League rivals bought such players as Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain they fought tooth and nail to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez, oh, and sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

But it's been this way for as long as many of the supporters can remember, not that that is in anyway a comforting thought.

Many had expected Sanchez to move on in this transfer window, with Manchester City the Chilean's preferred destination.

But Arsene Wenger managed to keep the forward at the Emirates against his will, which you'd think would please every Gunners fan.

And for the most part it did. But it seems many are worried he will play with his head on the ground once he is returned to the first team.

Wenger spoke to beIN Sports, to ensure the Arsenal supporters Sanchez would be "100 per cent" committed to playing for the north London club.

"Your interest is always to perform. It was not very close," said the Frenchman.

"It's very difficult for me to speak about that because what I want the player to do is now focus on his career, on his season and on Arsenal football club."

But it seems, once again, Wenger's comments have only upset the Gunners fans.
