It's the summer and transfers are all around us.

And, of course, get one over their Premier League rivals Manchester United in the process - can you just imagine this happening!?

The player in question is of course Cristiano Ronaldo, and the reason for the sudden speculation is due to a recent report from Portugal.

According to A Bola, the Real Madrid forward is said to be disillusioned by recent tax fraud allegations, which he refutes, and wants to leave Spain.

The case has reportedly left the Portuguese feeling like a "victim of persecution" and the paper claims Ronaldo "does not want to continue in Spain and therefore will look to leave La Liga next month".

Manchester United fans have already voiced their excitement at the idea of Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford.
