Eagle-eyed Arsenal fans noticed Alexis Sanchez's reaction to being substituted during Liverpool 's thrilling 3-3 draw - and some thought they knew what it meant.

With his side already 2-0 down thanks to goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah, the Chilean inspired a Gunners comeback when he scored in the 53rd minute.

Granit Xhaka then scored from long range to level the game before Mesut Ozil put the Gunners 3-2 up.

But there was one last twist to the tale when Roberto Firmino equalised in the 71st minute.

Despite scoring earlier in the clash, Sanchez was replaced in the 89th minute by Theo Walcott.

The cameras then cut to the bench to find a dejected Sanchez with his head in hands.
