Arsenal supporters are disappointed with Arsene Wenger's team selection for their Premier League clash against Watford.

Many were hoping to see Jack Wilshere in the starting XI for the match at Vicarage Road, but the Englishman has instead been named on the bench.

Wilshere displayed incredible potential when he burst onto the scene as a teenager but has seen his career hampered by injuries.

Last season he moved to Bournemouth on loan in a bid to turn the sinking ship around, but again suffered a serious injury.

This year appears to be his last chance to impress Wenger, and so far he has been doing exactly that. Wilshere returned for Arsenal in their 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup, and performed well in a Gunners shirt.

It was his first Arsenal start since May 2016, and the first time he had completed 90 minutes of football for the north London club since 2014.

Since then he has featured for Arsenal in the Europa League, again impressing with some confident play in the middle of the park, but has only been named on the bench for Premier League matches this season.

It seems Gunners fans want to see him start in the league too, what with speculation that both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez could leave in January, and they're letting Wenger know.
