Arsene Wenger will brief the media today ahead of Arsenal's Premier League clash against Swansea.

The Gunners host the Swans at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon at 3pm looking for a fourth consecutive win in all competitions.

A young Arsenal side saw off Norwich in extra-time on Tuesday evening in the Carabao Cup thanks to a brace of goals from 18-year-old Eddie Nketiah.

They hammered Everton 5-2 in the Premier League last weekend just three days after a last-gasp win at Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League.

Wenger: We need to keep 'impeccable' home record

Wenger knows Arsenal can’t afford to slip up against Swansea.

“We have no room for missing games because we’ve had bad results away from home.

“We need to keep our impeccable record at home.”

Is Ozil back to his best?

Wenger thinks so...

“He’s in a very good shape at the moment physically. He’s focused and motivated so I would say yes.

“What people question is their commitment (Sanchez & Ozil) I didn’t and what happened on Sunday proved that even more.”

Nketiah will continue to get a chance

Wenger has confirmed Eddie Nketiah will continue to get chances after his brace in midweek.

“He will continue to get a chance. The biggest problem in the PL is for the first time since I’m in England that we have a consistent level of results in the youth teams.

“That means the quality is there and the next step is to integrate them in the league.”

Keswick defends huge Gazidis bonus

Sir Chips Keswick has defended the huge bonus given to Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis, despite the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.

The Gunners finished fifth last season ruling them out of a spot at Europe’s top table, instead having to settle for a place in the Europa League.

Gazidis’ total pay package remained at £2.6million for the year, including a bonus of £919,000.

A question at the club’s AGM was posed to Keswick, asking to justify the payment due to the falling standards of on-field performance.

“It is important that all the remuneration remains competitive,” Keswick said. “Our CEO’s pay is comparable to that of others of a similar stature at other clubs.

“Ivan is doing a fantastic job and representing it in the PL, European Club Association we are fortunate to have him as our CEO.”

Kroenke: Sacking Wenger would be easy thing to do

Stan Kroenke has insisted Arsenal took the harder decision in standing by Arsene Wenger.

Majority shareholder Kroenke claimed it is “easy to change coaches”, but says manager Wenger remains the “right guy” and is “more focused” than ever on winning major trophies.

The 68-year-old Frenchman, who has been in charge since 1996, came under severe pressure last season amid a fierce fan backlash. But Arsenal stood firm and gave the Frenchman a new two-year contract after he won the FA Cup for a third time in four seasons.

Kroenke, in a rare exclusive interview with the Daily Mirror before the club’s AGM on Thursday, said: “Arsene is strong, he’s focused and I think he showed through all that.

“We always evaluate, and it’s fair to look at all the factors involved. But when you make decisions like that, you are weighing lots of different factors, but you hope that you weigh them correctly and come out with the right decision. I think we did.”
