Arsenal sent an app alert to their fans when Shkodran Mustafi hit the back of the net against Chelsea on Sunday.

Only for the linesman to raise his flag, rule the effort offside, and leave Arsenal a little red-faced.

But it seems the club weren't alone in jumping the gun with their celebration before waiting to see if the goal would stand.

An Arsenal fan at Stamford Bridge reacted to the header hitting the back of the net by jumping the barrier and sprinting onto the pitch.

The man was no doubt planning on celebrating alongside the Gunners stars in front of the Chelsea supporters, but the flag had already been raised.

The fan was quickly apprehended by stewards and walked out the ground.

The app alert was the second clanger in the space of a day for the north London club, who earlier deleted their team news announcement on Twitter.

Arsenal had tweeted an image of the first XI showing Danny Welbeck starting in front of £52million striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Fans reacted negatively to the formation, prompting Arsenal to post a new first XI diagram showing the Frenchman ahead of the former Man United forward.
