Theo Walcott 's future has been under the spotlight after being restricted to a bit-part role at the Emirates in the final month of the season.

The forward failed to start any of Arsenal 's final seven fixtures, featuring just twice off the bench as the Gunners' late revival fell just short in their bid to force their way into the top four.

Walcott's lack of game time has sparked speculation he could be on his way out of the Emirates this summer, with Everton linked with a move for the 28-year-old.

He was left out of the squad again by Gareth Southgate for England's double header against Scotland and France.

However, Walcott is clearly making the most of his extended holiday as he enjoyed a trip away with his wife, Melanie, and son, Finley.

The former Southampton starlet looked relaxed as he enjoyed some fun in the sun with his family on the getaway to France.

However, Walcott will be hoping to hit the ground running when he returns for pre-season training after recharging his batteries.

He scored 19 goals in 38 goals for the Gunners last campaign, despite falling down the pecking order for the final month of the season.

Walcott has two years remaining on the £140,000-a-week contract he signed in 2015.
