Arsenal players and manager Arsene Wenger are donating a day's wages to charity this weekend.

The Gunners will be collecting money for The Arsenal Foundation in the build-up to Christmas, and will be continuing the annual initiative with a charity matchday

Gunners keeper Petr Cech has helped to publicise the initiative, being shown on video catching pennies before dropping them into donation buckets.

Cech's Arsenal teammate Olivier Giroud then appears, joking: "Mate, giving doesn't have to be so difficult" and drops the coins into a bucket.

It isn't the first time that Gunners' stars have raised money for good causes this year,

Earlier this year The Arsenal Foundation donated 100k to provide 3000 hours of nursing care, following the players donating a day’s wages.

Also, Hector Bellerin handed over more than £19,000 to help victims of the Grenfell Tower fire and the club also raised in excess of £1million for the same cause after donating funds raised from the Community Shield clash with Chelsea in August.

Stars Mesut Ozil, Giroud, Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott recently visits the Teenage Cancer Trust, one of the organisations supported by the club's foundation.
