Some Arsenal players are reportedly growing frustrated with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez's reluctance to take on their share of media duties.

It is rare to see either player taking part in post match interviews while they have also been accused of skipping other planned events.

The day after the 1-0 League Cup win over Doncaster last month, the first team squad was called upon to take part in a contractual corporate sponsorship event at the training ground.

Almost the entire squad attended, including the injured Danny Welbeck, but neither Ozil nor Sanchez was present.

The Evening Standard reports that while Arsenal claim both players were ill, other players at the club are furious that they skipped it.

Any claim that Sanchez was ill also seems strange considering he played the full match against Doncaster. Both players also featured against West Brom less than a week later.

The Standard also reports that players were annoyed that their 'star duo' refused to speak to the media during their tough run last season that eventually cost them the top four.

Both players' contracts expire at the end of June next year and it seems increasingly likely that both will leave.
