More often than not fans are either calling on their club to make a signing or calling on another club to leave one of their players alone.

But it seems Arsenal supporters are doing things a little differently at the moment, by calling on Barcelona to sign one of their players.

It sounds wrong even writing it out, but we assure you in some strange way it actually makes sense - and it's actually quite funny.

Now, it's no secret Barcelona are in the market for a new player - someone who can reignite their once brilliant attack.

Oh come on, you guys! (

Throughout the transfer window they have been linked to a number of superstars including Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, but have so far failed to even come close to filling the void left behind by Neymar.

A third player who has been firmly on their radar in the past few months - although the deal seems to be off now - is Ivory Coast and Nice midfielder Jean Seri. But, apparently, he got there in a rather peculiar way.

Catalan radio station RAC1 have made the sensational claim that the club only became interested in the 26-year-old after their fans urged for them to sign him.

And how did they do this you ask? Well, by taking to social media and tweeting about him of course. The power of social media, eh?

Now, Arsenal have been looking to strengthen their own team this transfer window, and have done so by bringing in Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac.

They had been hoping to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco, but later announced they would need to clear the deadwood from the changing room first.

According to social media, it seems Gunners fans consider the Englishman to be exactly that, which is a little harsh if we do say so ourselves.

And they've come up with a rather ingenious - and pretty funny - way of trying to move the 28-year-old on. You've got to love football fans, eh?
