Arsene Wenger has responded to Arsenal booboys by admitting "if I am the problem then I am the problem".
Wenger signed a fresh two year deal this summer following prolonged negotiations throughout last season - and an almost constant barrage of "Wenger Out" chants and banners.
But despite his immediate future being confirmed, a section of Gunners fans called for the Frenchman to depart the club after their poor start to the season.
The north London outfit were thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool on Sunday to fall to back-to-back defeat after their shock loss to Stoke last weekend.
Wenger had masterminded a topsy-turvy victory over Leicester on the opening weekend but that 4-3 win has not been enough to keep the honeymoon going.
"We I don't want to answer that that is part of the crowds feeling of some people, Wenger told Sky Sports.
"If I am the problem then I am the problem. I am sorry that I am the problem.
"I believe we should all be together when we lose and we want our fans to be together when we lose, even in a performance like that.
"The only thing we can do is come back and give them a better level of performance."
