Arsene Wenger has long been applauded for promoting youth at Arsenal - and the Gunners boss has given a rare glimpse into just how the club's academy works.
The Frenchman has overseen the progression of the likes of Jack Wilshere, Alex Iwobi, Cesc Fabregas and many more in his time.
And with exciting prospects in Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson there appears to be more stars in the making.
In an interview with BT Sport, Wenger declared the Gunners' academy has a three-step process - and revealed he makes the final call when it comes to whether players graduate or not.
"Let's not forget what it is about in the academy," said Wenger. "It's first, recruitment. Number two, quality of education. Number three, moment of integration into the first team.
"And that final part is the most difficult these days and it always goes through me.
"In the end I will decide yes, he has a chance. Or yes, he might not make it."
