Sean Dyche has refused to rule himself out of the running for the Leicester job.
Burnley boss Dyche features on the Foxes’ short-list of candidates to replace Craig Shakespeare, who was sacked this week, and he says he will leave the Clarets eventually.
The 46-year-old, who agreed a new £2.5million-a-year deal at Turf Moor towards the end of last season, refused to distance himself from the Leicester vacancy.
“I don’t need to do that, because I’ve been here five years,” he said. “I’ve had this conversation maybe 10 times over the last couple of years.
“I’m still here, so I just get on with it, whatever will be will be. It’s questions about a story that is completely out of my hands.”
Dyche, who has twice led Burnley promotions to the Premier League, claimed no approach has been made for him.
His buy-out clause is understood to be £2.5million and he says he is “open-minded” about his future.
“I’m not aware of any approach from anyone in any time here,” said the former Watford boss.
“I’m quite open-minded about what comes next with Burnley. Beyond that, who knows? It’s hypothetical.
“I’ve had to answer these questions so many times, but I’m still here.
“That doesn’t guarantee anything and one day it will change, in my control or out of my control. It’s the nature of football.
“In a way, you’re flattered, because it’s some form of recognition for the work by the players, the staff and myself.”
