Daniel Sturridge suffered yet another injury blow as Liverpool beat Bayern Munich 3-0 in pre-season.

The England striker was introduced as a second-half substitute and looked sharp as he came on, stretching the Bayern defence.

He streamed clear in the final minutes to go one-on-one with Bayern keeper Sven Ulreich and lifted the ball over him sublimely to round off the scoring.

But, in doing so, he pulled up immediately with an apparent quad injury and was withdrawn by Jurgen Klopp.

Sturridge has endured a chequered injury record since his move to Anfield and his latest setback provides yet another blow for the forward.

Earlier, Sadio Mane and new signing Mo Salah had put the Reds 2-0 up before the break.

Mane finished brilliantly on the angle to open the scoring from Roberto Firmino's pass.

He was involved in the second, too, back-heeling through for Alberto Moreno whose fizzed shot was parried into the path of Salah at the back post.
