David De Gea has responded to Ander Herrera's "you should be scared" tweet in brilliant fashion.

The Manchester United number one took to Twitter to share a video of his own (above). In the clip, the Spaniard scores a superb top corner free-kick leaving Iker Casillas grounded.

De Gea captioned the video with: "I think you should be the one to be scared."

Earlier, Herrera took to social media to show off his goalkeeping skills and cheekily called out Manchester United shot-stoppers De Gea, Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira.

The midfielder, who has been enjoying his summer holidays in Portugal and Spain, posted a video of himself making a wonder save on an indoor sand pitch.

Taking his turn in goal, Herrera tips a shot wide of the post with a brilliant low dive to his left.

More known for his defensive, tough tackling and man-marking abilities the save is of stark contrast to Herrera's day-to-day duties.

Buoyed by the stop, the 27-year-old captioned the video with: "Hi D_DeGea, Chiqui [Sergio Romero] and ElgatoPereira1, I hope you guys are enjoying your holidays but you should be a bit scared."

After Herrera posted the video, Red Devils fans immediately chimed in making the same joke about Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo...
