Frank de Boer fears he could be fired this weekend.

The Crystal Palace manager will hold post-transfer window talks with his board, that could end with him leaving the club.

The Dutchman — who lasted just 85 days as Inter Milan coach last season — was left clinging to his job after crunch talks with chairman Steve Parish on Monday.

"It's not been great. It's a results-based business, so if you don't get wins - Frank knows that," said Parish.

"We've got to look at how we've been performing, how we've been playing and what we can do to improve it.

"We'll be working hard and having serious conversations and making sure we turn it around."

De Boer has lost the first three league games of his Eagles reign, with concern growing that his methods are not suited to the Premier League or the South London club.

Palace were keen on a shock move to re-appoint Sam Allardyce , who quit in the summer after saving them from relegation having been hired last December.

But he is not interested in a return.

That leaves ex-England boss Roy Hodgson — a local lad who began his career as a Palace player in the mid-1960s — in pole position, if they do make a change.
