What were you doing when you were 17? Hanging out with your mates? Maybe trying to sneak in to your local pub?

Well whatever it was, it probably wasn't as cool as what Ethan Ampadu got up to Wednesday evening.

The youngster - who has been named in Chris Coleman's Wales squad but is yet to make his senior international debut for the country of his mother's birth - was given his first Chelsea start by Antonio Conte on Wednesday, with the Italian picking the 17-year-old in his side to face Everton in the Carabao Cup at Stamford Bridge .

And while for some it might be the David Luiz-like hair sported by Ampadu - who signed from Exeter City in the summer - which immediately catches the eye, others had something else in mind when they saw he was starting.

Because as the first player ever to start a match for Chelsea who was born in the 21st century - arriving in the world on September 14, 2000 - Ampadu made a lot of think the same thing...

Which begs the question...

Feel old yet?
