Wayne Rooney is on his way back to Everton - but not everyone is getting the bunting out.

The Manchester United skipper has decided to leave Old Trafford this summer after 13 years with the club.

But Toffees fans are split on the homecoming of one of their most famous local boys.

Rooney played 77 first team games for the Merseyside outfit having joined the club aged 10, before moving along the M62.

Some are opening their arms back for the homegrown superstar but others are not happy about the massive £250,00-a-week wages Rooney commands.

Although the talks are still ongoing over a paycut.
