Arsenal fans are fearing the worst.
Reports in Chile claim Alexis Sanchez will be on the move this summer, which is precisely the news they didn't want to receive.
And to make matters worse, it has been reported that he is on his way to Manchester City of all places.
Now this is concerning for a number of reasons...
One, Man City are a direct rival, meaning the 28-year-old could be months away from using his powers against Arsenal in the Premier League.
And two, and this one will hurt Arsenal fans more, his transfer will see yet ANOTHER Gunners player move to Man City.
That's right. Sanchez will join a long list of players including Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor and Bacary Sagna.
It's just not worth thinking about from an Arsenal perspective.
But it may just be something they will have to try and digest if the Chilean does indeed jump ship.
The Gunners' failure to challenge for the title - let along secure Champions League football for next season - appears to be behind Sanchez wanting to move on.
And with transfers to City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich mooted, much-respected Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta dropped the bombshell that Guardiola has won the race to sign the forward.
What Arsenal supporters need now is a bit of sympathy, an arm around the shoulder, that sort of thing.
Unfortunately, however, they received quite the opposite in the form of many football fans making the same (painfully accurate) joke...
