Harry Kane limped off clutching his hamstring late in Tottenham's 4-1 win over Liverpool.

The England striker scored twice as Spurs ran riot at Wembley, but was replaced by Fernando Llorente after 88 minutes, seemingly with a hamstring injury.

Kane sat on the turf initially before jumping to his feet and putting his hand on the back of his leg with a slight grimace as he spoke to boss Mauricio Pochettino.

But Kane did not go down the tunnel, instead joining his teammates on the substitutes bench.

Kane also spoke to Sky Sports in the aftermath of the match with fellow goalscorer Heung-Min Son, and wasn't probed about the potential problem.

"Unbelievable, we wanted to start fast and get the crowd on their feet - that's exactly what we did," Kane said.

"I thought we played really well. Their goal came against the run of play. We were pushing and could have got the third or fourth goal early on."

Pochettino allayed injury fears after the game, insisting Kane was 'tired' after playing three games in a week.

"He's tired, three games in one week and the effort was amazing from him," said the Argentine.

"Harry Kane is a fantastic player, one of the best strikers, it's difficult to find words to describe him - he's unbelievable, so professional, the effort when we don't have the ball, everything is fantastic - so professional."

Kane opened the scoring at Wembley, netting after just four minutes which marked the start of a wonderful afternoon for Spurs.
