Jurgen Klopp has taken a swipe at Jose Mourinho over the way he handled himself during the spat which followed the Manchester derby.

An enraged Mourinho is said to have entered the away dressing room at Old Trafford on Sunday to tell the Man City team to pipe down, after loud music filled the corridors.

An argument between the Man United boss and Ederson then broke out before milk, water and bottles were thrown in Mourinho's direction - a claim City chiefs refute.

Players from both teams then clashed in the tunnel and Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta was apparently hit with a bottle, allegedly thrown by Romelu Lukaku, suffering a cut to his eye.

Speaking about the incident ahead of Liverpool's game with West Brom on Wednesday, Klopp told the press: "We've had one or two draws at home and I've heard loud music from the other side. I've got no problem with that.

"Everything is allowed as long as you show the right amount of respect."

Arsene Wenger also spoke about incident in his press conference on Tuesday, but took a slightly different stance.

"It is part of the intensity," said the Arsenal boss.

"It can go overboard. It happened to us. It happened to us. Hopefully you commit 100 per cent to the pitch and are an angel after.

"I don't know what happened really. It is difficult to take to see the 100 per cent celebration on the other side. It is an experience that's a little bit offensive.

"That's why I admired sumo in Japan because the guy who wins does not show his happiness out his respect for his opponent.

"Is it something we can copy? I don't think so. It's not part of our culture."
