Jack Wilshere has shot Arsene Wenger an impressive message with a creative goal in Arsenal training.

The central midfielder has only featured twice for Arsenal this season and neither of those games have come in the league. The 25-year-old started in the Gunners' 1-0 League Cup win over Doncaster and came off the bench during Arsenal's 3-1 Europa League win over FC Koln.

And after not playing a single minute against West Brom on Monday, it is expected the midfielder will start against BATE on Thursday.

And in a bid to cement his place in Wenger's starting XI, Wilshere performed an impressive trick shot.

The England international delicately chips the ball onto the bar of the goal nearest him, sending it into a separate goal behind.

Should Wilshere start against BATE he will be keen to take his chance. Injuries and poor form led the starlet to being loaned out to Bournemouth last season.

Wilshere impressed at the south coast club until a serious injury ended his stint. But instead of selling the midfielder in the summer, Wenger decided to give his prodigal son one last chance.
