Bayern Munich loanee James Rodriguez has revealed he is only in contact with three players from his parent club Real Madrid.

The Colombian forward made the admission before admitting he doesn't know whether he will return to the Spanish capital.

Rodriguez signed on a two-year loan spell for the German outfit at the start of the season, after falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane.

While discussing Cristiano Ronaldo's comments from November - when the Portuguese complained that Rodriguez should not have been allowed to leave without being replaced - he suggested he's fallen out of touch with a number of his former teammates.

Speaking to AS, the Colombian said: "They were going through a tough moment and you say things that you shouldn't sometimes.

"I believe that Real Madrid have very good players to have a really good campaign. They are a massive team, they have a team with the power to change everything.

"I left lots of really good teammates and friends in Madrid and I always watch them when I can. I keep in touch with Ramos, Benzema and Marcelo."

When asked whether he'll return to Real Madrid, he replied: "I don't know. For now, I am thinking about Bayern Munich. I have two years left here, I am doing well here and I am happy."
