Manchester United star Jesse Lingard had a birthday weekend to remember, scoring the deciding goal in the Red Devils' 2-1 win over West Brom after a flying visit from his 'secret' girlfriend.
Jena Frumes, a model and actress, jetted in to Manchester from Los Angeles, California, on Friday to toast the forward's 25th birthday.
Snaps shared with her 2.6 million Instagram followers showed her wearing a Manchester United shirt and hanging out with the England star.
In one image, she was seen cosying up to Lingard in front of a huge birthday cake featuring an action shot of the player himself.
Another picture showed Lingard in his kitchen with gold balloons spelling out his "JLINGZ" nickname.
Her presence seemed to have a positive impact on Lingard as he notched United's second goal in their 2-1 win away at the Hawthorns on Sunday.
Lingard, who has made no mention of Jena on his own social media, is said to have met her in the US last year. They apparently only started dating recently.
Previously, Jena, currently shooting a movie, has been romantically linked to Mariah Carey’s ex-husband Nick Cannon and NFL player Antonio Brown.
A source told the Sun : "They've been on some dates, but I don't know if it's serious between them yet. She lives in LA and he's in Manchester so it's hard for them."
