Jose Mourinho today claimed it will take a “phenomenal offer” to persuade him to sell Andre Schurrle.

Chelsea boss Mourinho insists both Schurrle and Mohamed Salah are set to start against Bradford in the FA Cup on Saturday as he says he is not in a rush to sell either.

Mourinho also refused to discuss the chances of signing Fiorentina’s Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado who has been lined up as Chelsea’s big transfer target in January.

“The principle is that we would like him (Schurrle) to stay,” said Mourinho. “The question is not to be allowed or not allowed.

“The question is to have a phenomenal offer and a player to be super keen of accept a new challenge in his career. We don't want to sell our players.

“The club doesn't move. We don't move. Our desire is to keep the same squad, which reflects that we are happy with the players, that we are happy with the work we did in the summer to prepare the season, reflects the trust we have in the group and if possible we don't want to be involved in the transfer window.

“If we have to be it's because somebody pushed us, with some offer for our player, but Chelsea moving and looking for a change? No.

“Salah is selected for tomorrow. He's (Schurrle) the same. He's selected for tomorrow. He played against Swansea one week ago. He was ill. He didn't play, not even selected against Liverpool. He's back to the group and normally starting the game tomorrow.

“The window is open, but what I can say is I like them, I need them and I trust them. I cannot select the same 18 players every game, I only can play 11. Salah is not playing a lot, Schurrle more than him. They are players that play for us in every comeptitoon. Even in the Champions League. I count on them.”

When asked on Cuadrado, Mourinho added: “It's a player from Fiorentina. I shouldn't make any comments about players from other clubs. You speak about Caudrado, you can speak about 10, 20 players. If I don’t know am in trouble, because my son knows them! It's my job to know them all.”

Mourinho - who will rest John Terry and use Kurt Zouma in defence - also claimed Chelsea’s chances of completing a quadruple are “nearly impossible.”

Mourinho added: “We have two knockout matches in three days, so we can after Tuesday we can be in four competitions or only two. Of course we want to try to be in all four. But it's two consecutive matches knockout, two cups, in three days. That says everything.

Liverpool draw with Chelsea - pictures:

“The third match is just a Premier League match, one of 38, and that is different. It doesn't decide anything, but Bradford and Liverpool, yes. They decide if we are still in the competition.

“It's very difficult. I think really difficult to do it for anyone and not just because it's difficult to win the competitions but also the way the fixtures are organised it's very very difficult.

“A team that plays the Capital One Cup final will have one game in the PL postponed. A team that plays the FA Cup semi-final will have a game postponed. A team that gets a draw in the FA Cup has to play another game. If a team is in all these competitions plus the European competition until the end of the season will arrive a moment in April may so so difficult that I would say almost impossible.”
