Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho declared his side the "champions of autumn" after their 2-1 win at Liverpool on Saturday.

The Blues came from behind to claim a ninth win in 11 Premier League matches at Anfield, with Gary Cahill and Diego Costa finding the net, the latter with his 10th league goal.

The result meant Mourinho's men retained a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, with Southampton's 2-0 win over Leicester keeping them clinging to Chelsea's coat-tails.

"All we can say is that we are the champions of autumn," said Mourinho.

"I think we have a very good chance to win the title but I think we, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Southampton are all still in the race."

Emre Can had given Liverpool the lead at Anfield before Chelsea's fightback, another sign that while the Blues may be the Premier League's best side, they aren't invincible.

And Mourinho has once more played down talk that they can go through the season unbeaten.

"Unbeaten through the season is the impossible job, I think we will lose," he added.
