Manchester United will be missing a pretty important player in Sunday's derby match against Manchester City.

Midfielder Paul Pogba will serve the first of his three-match Premier League suspension for last week's sending off against Arsenal, handing league leaders City a huge boost at Old Trafford.

And United boss Jose Mourinho is already lamenting the loss of the one-time most expensive player in the world, citing something else he did against Arsenal as the key reason why he'll be so sorely missed.

"We have lost a very important player, one with an impact in the way we play and that is obvious," Mourinho said.

"This season, there was a Manchester United with Paul and there was a Manchester United without Paul.

"He impacts our style. For the next three matches we have to cope without Paul and try to win without him. It’s not pessimistic. It’s just a different way to play football.

"Do you think I have in my team a midfield player who can make the third goal at Arsenal? We don’t.

"They have other qualities. Fellaini can score an amazing header. Matic can shoot from outside the box.

"Herrera can do other good things, but a midfield player to do and create what Pogba did in the third goal against Arsenal, we don’t have."

Before his red card at the Emirates, Pogba surged forward and pulled the ball across the six yard box for Jesse Lingard to tap home his second of the game, putting United 3-1 up.

And clearly Mourinho feels his side will miss such energy against City.
