Didier Deschamps admits "globe-trotter" Jose Mourinho could join the French revolution by bossing PSG.

The Manchester United manager is midway through his three-year deal - with the option of another year - but is yet to agree an extension.

His representatives are believed to have held talks with big-spending PSG about a possible future switch to France.

Mourinho fuelled the prospect last month when he said: “At the moment in Paris there is something special. Magic, quality, youth, it's fantastic."

Now French national team manager Deschamps has heightened speculation ex-Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid coach Mourinho would be willing to cross the channel.

Deschamps,49, said: “PSG are the most stand-out team in France.

“They are doing well nationally and in the Champions League.

“As for Jose Mourinho, why not?

“He’s pretty happy at Manchester United at the moment but he’s a bit of a globe-trotter.

“So why not in France too? He has not been to France yet.”

Mourinho,54, was appointed by United in May 2016 and led the club to a League Cup and Europa League double last season.

He is expected to be offered a lucrative new deal but has never spent more than four consecutive seasons at one club.

He has won titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain but has not managed in France and Germany.

PSG boss Unai Emery is currently top of Ligue 1 but failed to win the title last season and let a 4-0 lead slip against Barcelona in the Champions League.

He is now under added pressure to make amends following the world-record arrivals of £200million Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
