Jose Mourinho has dismissed his unbeaten record against Arsene Wenger ahead of Saturday's showdown between Manchester United and Arsenal.

Mourinho is unbeaten in 11 Premier League games against Wenger and two Cup games, with the Arsenal manager's only victory over his nemesis coming in the Community Shield.

But United boss Mourinho claimed that formidable record against Wenger will count for nothing when the two rival bosses renew hostilities at Old Trafford on Saturday.

And Mourinho also claimed he does not get the same respect as Wenger, despite winning his last title 18 months ago, compared to the Arsenal manager's last, which came in 2004.

"That's not important really," said Mourinho. "I don't play against managers. It's my team that plays against another manager's team.

"Some records are better than others, but a football match is an isolated event, nothing about what happened before or what can happen in the future. It's just one more match.

"The record, I repeat, against any other manager being good or bad, is not important for me.

"The only thing that matters is what you get as a team, our team's results, our CV if you want to go in that direction.

"Tomorrow is a match between the two managers with the best records in the Premier League.

"Sir Alex Ferguson is not here any more and tomorrow, between the two managers, we are speaking about six or seven titles, I'm not sure.

"I have three I think and Mr Wenger has three. Does that mean we should be respected, even in periods where our results are not the best?

"I think Mr Wenger has that respect from all of you, I don't think I have. My last title was 18 months ago, not 18 years ago.

"I don't get that respect, to be honest. I just follow my way because I want to win a ninth championship and I want to win a fourth Premier League."
