Spain may be playing Israel on Monday night but Juan Mata is already looking ahead to the weekend's action.

Manchester United travel to Anfield on Saturday in one of the most eagerly-anticipated games of the season.

Jose Mourinho's side are still unbeaten in the Premier League but will be in for a stern test against Jurgen Klopp's Reds.

Mata, who has enjoyed a strong start to the season, said he was looking forward to the clash and hoped his team-mates returned from international duty injury free.

"This is one of the big games of the season without a doubt," Mata wrote in his blog.

"There’s no need to say what it means for us and for our fans, and I hope that we can play a great game and take the three points to Manchester.

"We will try to extend our good run of results since the season started."

He continued: "I also hope that none of my team-mates has physical problems in the second game with the national teams as it was the case with [Marouane] Fellaini, to whom I wish a speedy recovery."
