Kylian Mbappe has officially arrived at Paris Saint-Germain , his home town club.
Now the loan deal that will make him the world's second most expensive player next season when it's made permanent is a done deal, it seems like there was only one choice.
That appeared to be the case when he took part in his first training session at the club on Wednesday with a smile almost permanently attached to his face.
And he hit it off straight away with the only player in the world a club has paid more for - his new team-mate Neymar.
But it could have been different as Mbappe reveals he seriously considered approaches from Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger a major drawcard.
“Yes, I met with Arsene Wenger, who is a great coach,” Mbappe told The Telegraph today as he was finally unveiled by the club.
“He has a great reputation here in France, he’s well-respected and knows how to develop young players. This was a real option for me.
"But, of course, Paris Saint-Germain was the main option."
In the end, Mbappe chose PSG as the best place for him to "develop".
He will form a formidable front three with Edinson Cavani and Neymar, who he gave a nod to on social media on Wednesday afternoon.
Mbappe posted a crown and the Brazilian flag alongside pictures of the duo together in a sign that football's latest major bromance has been quickly forged.
